Just Fantastic, we spent 4 nights at this lodge, the food, accommodation, and drives were just lovely. We had two drives a day and saw 3 of the Big Five animals, Rhino, Buffalo, and Elephants, The weather was very rainy, but temperature was very warm....More

God place to look for wold life in their surroundings. A wide variety of wildbirds. Picnic facilities available to have lekker braai.

Stayed in closeby Thabazimbi as part of a 6 week road trip around SA. Marakele was on our list of parks to visit. It is without doubt a beautiful park scenic wise but I’m afraid, that’s as much as I can say good about it....More

We visited just before the rain came so the game was very sparse with little to see on the western side. This is a totally different experience from Kruger or Pilanesburg - at most there were only a handful of cars and sometimes only ourselves....More

We certainly had a short well spent weekend.The new Bontle Camp was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable yet offering a real bush experience. The burnt out park is slowly recovering. We were lucky to see three of the big five. Oh the mountains, what a sight....More

Just spent 2 days in the park in the Bontle Camp Site. As with all SAN Park facilties we found it spotlessly clean and comfortable. Problem wad with the Big Five area that was completely burnt out by a bush fire some five weeks ago....More

Yes you should be fine on most of the roads, providing there's not been any rain.
