Ride aboard the Starship 2010, a 47' custom built shallow draft vessel with a climate controlled cabin and restroom. It is U.S.C.G. certified and operated by U.S.C.G licensed captains.

Family owned Bluewater Charters L.L.C. has been offering tours of the Topock Gorge and Lake Havasu from the same location in the Bridgewater Channel since 1988.

All tours are historically narrated and wildlife sightings are common. so bring your binoculars. Don't have any? We've got some you can borrow.

  Three trip options are available.

#1 is a 2.5hr round trip of Topock Gorge

#2 is the same trip with lunch at Pirate Cove

#3 is a 3hr lake cruise viewing local lighthouses and timed to catch one of Lake Havasu's beautiful sunsets

Topock Gorge Tour

Depart London Bridge and travel across the north basin of Lake Havasu and into the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge on our way to Topock Gorge. We commonly see Desert Bighorn Sheep, Wild Burro, Coyote, and others as well as some of the 394 different species of birds and water fowl that either live in or migrate through the areas. We will see 3,000 year old Indian Petroglyphs, interesting rock formations like the Star Gazer. Through the more scenic parts we will be traveling at idle speed as our crew talks about the history of the area. From Indian Legends and early explorers to stories of how paddle wheelers made the difficult journeys to supply army camps and eventually carry out gold and silver oar out before the dams were built.

The Sunset Lighthouse Lake Cruise is a 3hr cruise that will take you south from the London Bridge to Steamboat Cove, a common hang out for all Desert Bighorn Sheep. On our way we will also enter into Copper Canyon and Balanced Rock Bay. Along the way we will pull up to several famous and historic lighthouses. Scaled versions from around the country. These lighthouses perform as aids to navigation here on Lake Havasu. you will hear about the history of the area, each lighthouse and the London Bridge. This cruise is timed to catch the sunset so departure times will vary.

The boat trip takes about 4-5 hours, which includes a stop off a Pirate Cove. The commentary is really interesting by knowledgeable captain. Boat although a little noise (jet boat) is comfortable. Get the VIP package that includes the Captain chairs (well worth the extra money). Overall a very relaxing way to see the lake and have lunch.

We took the tour up to Topock Gorge with lunch at Pirates Cove. The scenery was terrific. We saw all kinds of wildlife, including Herons, Egrets, Pelicans, Bald Eagles, Feral Hogs, which I had never heard of, and aquatic birds. The boat ride was smooth and comfortable, no getting seasick on this adventure. What made it fun was the driver,... More

We are fist time travelers to Havasu. We heard about the beauty of Toprock Gorge and decided to go. The boat is clean, the guides are knowledgeable and there's a restroom onboard. The tour round trip takes about 5 hours, departing at 10:30 and arriving back at 3:30. This particular your makes a stop at Pirate Cove for lunch (not... More

This was a great scenic tour to see Topock Gorge. Left at 10:30 and returned by 3:30 with a stop for lunch at the Pirate Cove. Binoculars were included. Narration and history of the area was well done. We didn't know at the time we made the reservations that there are 3 rows of cushy VIP seating versus bench seating... More

Great trip and well worth it! Saw all sorts of rock formations and colors were spectacular! Saw wild burros, turkey vultures, blue Herron but Capt Sean's narration covered history and legend of the area. Great being inside to stay out of sun but on way back stayed out on back deck to take fantastic photos! Stopped at Pirates Cove for... More

They offer 3 different tours. We chose the Pirate Cove w/ lunch tour beginning at 10:30 to 3:30pm. They offer binoculars to view the wildlife along the way. The guides were very informative in history and points of interest. Pirates Cove is a cool place to see with a good variety on thier menu. A wonderful day trip for all... More

I'm so glad I made this trip, especially since the only way to see the Topock Gorge is by boat - but I'm glad I chose this one. The crew was great, the boat comfortable, the trip beautiful! I really appreciate all the research done and history shared with us that makes the experience more interesting. I'm sure without Captain... More

Spent a day with the great folks from Bluewater Jet Boat. The boat is beautiful and clean, and is really comfortable. The guides are extremely knowledgeable about the River and share with a good commentary along the way. We stopped in Topock for lunch and they gave us plenty of time to enjoy a great lunch. The guides stopped along... More

I don't remember how many times I have been on this awesome cruise up the Colorado river , Ken the captain and his son who usually work this cruise are both very up on the history of this area and do a fantastic job of narrating . The cruise goes up to Pirates Cove where they stop and you can... More
