We enjoyed the beautiful country-side drive to the area and loved the visit to the reptile park. The restaurant was mediocre at best with poor service and okay food which most of which were "out" on the menu offered.

Wonderful viewpoints. A stunning place to visit. We utilized Don Botterill of “DayToursKZN” who was a private driver that took us to all the best areas, including a lovely restaurant for lunch. If you go here on a Saturday make sure you visit the nearby Saturday Market. If you’re in Durban this Valley should be on your visit list.

One has to know where they are going when visiting 1000 hills as the area is large. We went on the most beautiful of hikes but a guide is an absolute must.

It was nothing special. Just a few hills like you also see in the midlands. We were really searching for why this location is mentioned online. But we couldn’t find anything.

Magnificent scenery, lush landscapes, fresh air.
We took a lovely hike in the sunshine the fresh air was intoxicating and the beauty of the rushing stream below.
The sky seemed to go on forever with awesome clouds.

The drive from Durban was pleasant to this memorable place. We had lunch overlooking the valley. The only disappointing part was the Zulu show which lacked enthusiasm.

Beautiful area. Winding road, great views. The vegetation is very green don't know if its because of the recent rains but very nice

Takes a while to get here, but worth your time to go. Get to see transitions in towns and flora during the drive! Our guide gave some great history of the area, bring a camera and binoculars to make sure you do not miss anything!

A very peaceful hour+ drive from the Durban cruise terminal. The views are breathtaking. Our guide told us about the historical aspects of the area and Durban in general. We were on our way to a Zulu Village where we say a dance ceremony and learned about Zulu customs. Definitely worth the drive.

peaceful and serene with a view that takes your breath away. The restuarant on top of the hills gives a nice touch to a sunset moment away from the hustle of the city.
