The golden mile is great for an early morning walk/cycle and a quick dip in the ocean. You need to go when its quiet, otherwise the other visitors are quite inconsiderate and annoying. There are lots of beggars and you oftentimes are wary of your...More

From Sunrise there are people making use of this space. Its truly Durban's bragging point. Early Surf at New Pier and a coffee at Durban Surf is the best way to start your day.

Seems like it goes on forever. It is clean, filled with activities and food options. I am from Cake Town, and the golden mile in Durban is really something of beauty and fun.

I agree with the two responses already sent, that the best way is by taking a taxi. There is also parking available to leave your car while on a cruise. Trust this will assist.
