Pros: Ample parking. High police and security presence so we felt very safe even at night. Hire a bike and ride from the Casino to UShaka as the ride is easy and flat with great views of the Golden Mile. Add on a stadium tour...More

The walk from sun coast casino to UShaka takes about an hour, and a wonderful way to get fit in fresh air. Lots to see, with various snack bars and cafes if needed. Also lots of vendors offering drinks /ice cream /sunglasses. A lovely way...More

This review and opinion is simply written from the week long experience of a European solo male on his fourth visit to Durban. I had a week at the Elangeni Hotel at North Beach and on different occasions walked as far as Thekwini beach to...More

Had a great walk along the beach, people-watching and paddling in the ocean. It was Easter holiday time so it was quite busy but it was quite easy to find a quiet spot as this beach is long and wide. The sand goes on forever...More

This stretch of beach front has been nicely renovated but the amount of litter on the beach, sidewalks and grasses areas are distressing despite dustbins in every direction. It’s a pity as it is a nice place to walk and enjoy the beach.

This walk is stunning and surprisingly good exercise. What more could you want walking along the beach front and smelling the ocean while being able to stop on the way for a smoothie or juice. Really enjoyed Natal.

Unequivocally, Durban is the warmest place to be – it is practically summer all year round with its sub-tropical climate and laid-back, friendly people. Okay, I may be slightly biased having been born and lived in Durban most of my life; however, it’s my favourite...More

I agree with the two responses already sent, that the best way is by taking a taxi. There is also parking available to leave your car while on a cruise. Trust this will assist.
