    Nice Stop
We attended the museum on a weekend and spent about an hour. Additionally, there is a movie as part of the tour, it’s an hour long video. This version of the Rte 66 museum concentrates on the wagon roads that eventually became Rte 66 in Arizona. There is also a display of electric cars and other vehicles.

    A must stop.
Its a must stop at the route 66 museum in Kingman. The display and info are great. We especially loved the black & white pictures to do with the great depression. The eyes of the people are so moving. You can feel their pain and hardship. Lots of information about the area. The gift shops and visitor centre are great to. You won't regret stopping by.

    Cool Spot in Kingman
The museum is set in an old power house which in and of itself was neat. We paid for a family ticket which is good indefinitely to return. There were many displays and facts about Route 66 and Kingman on the second floor. First floor had an electric vehicle museum, which was interesting...and two separate big souvenir shops. It was well air conditioned and a nice leisurely thing to do as a pit stop on the road.

We really enjoyed the museum and I highly recommend that anyone interested in the historic byway. The museum covers the original wagon trail, the paved route, and it's demise due to the new interstate highways. As an added bonus the rail line next to the museum gets 55 trains a day, so there is that also.

This is pretty much the be all and end all of Route 66 history. The video is fascinating, as are the exhibits that depict migration west over Route 66. The electric car museum also warrants a slow walk through. There is also a large well stocked gift shop. This museum is worth going out of your way to see.

We called into the museum while passing through on our way from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. Its a great experience and doesn't cost much, there was also hardly anyone there so we had the place to ourselves. Tells the story of route 66 and has a number of really interesting exhibits which gives you a feel of how route 66 once was. Highly recommended.

A nice opportunity to take a break and stretch your legs on your Route 66 drive. It’s a small museum, and you can see the basics there in 20-30 minutes, or spend more time if you like. The electric car exhibit was pretty cool, and there are charging stations outside. The gift shop had a large variety of antique license plates available for sale too.

This is a nice local museum full of Route 66 history and vintage photographs and displays. I think if you are a bit older, this has much more meaning for you. The layout allowed you as much time as you wanted to read through and see the challenges of the earlier travelers and the impact that Interstate 40 had on the businesses along the route. At the end of this floor was a movie that interviewed old timers along the Route 66 route in Arizona and how their lives were changed when the Mother Road gave way to Interstate progress. The other floor has a museum of various electric vehicles from a converted electric Porsche 911 to a rare Tesla sports car. This was a nice break during our travels. In the same building is the Visitors Center and a couple of gift shops.

We as Europeans lack the nostalgia feeling which Americans can have regarding this highway 66. But still we’re interested in the history anyway. This museum provides it big time, we didn’t know it basically started with the trails way back in the 1800s with people traveling west for better lives or oppertunaties. Glad we visited it.

We stopped in Kingman just for one night on our way to the Grand Canyon. It was a short visit but, so far, enjoyable. The museum is small but interesting to visit especially around the story of all those people who worked on the projects. Very interesting the photo exhibition. Worth the ticket.

Stopped here with Desert Wonders Tour and enjoyed the stop. Museum took me down memory lane. The gift shop had some affordable things to pick up and just enjoyed looking while stretching my legs before heading on to the Caverns.

Definitely the most informative of all the Rte 66 museums out there as we have tried to visit them all. Incredible displays and murals too. Almost a bit depressing to see how difficult life was back in the 30's along this route. A bit lacking in the fun 50's 60's era which is what we like the most and we did not really find the electric car section interesting. ZZZZzzzzzz...... That's us anyway and we were glad we visited. Two gift shops are here for shopping enjoyment too. We bought a quality expensive mug at the museum shop and a Rte 66 apron at the adjoining shop.

A good visit with interesting to go at our own pace. The Studebaker was a highlight, info on Harvey girls, and history informative. A movie we didn't watch it all. The electric car exhibit nice . They could expand on more Rt, 66 car memorabilia. The fee was $10 per person or $6 for seniors not sure if families pay for children. It also includes another museum we didn't have time to see.
