If you do this drive from Oatman to Kingman (first, enter Oatman from the west and then drive through to Kingman), you hug the mountain the whole way, thereby keeping the oncoming lane in between you and the steep drop-offs. Mountain roads like this are nervewracking for me—no guardrail (or flimsy old-style metal cables strung between wooden posts), no shoulder—heck,... More

Beautiful scenery. Road was fun to drive, but if you do not like curves, may want to reconsider. Looked n like t he road straight out if Disney's Cars movie. Stopped at Cool Springs for pictures. Journeyed in to Postman. Saw several wild burros on the way.

We took this scenic drive from Kingman to Oatman AZ, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. There are quite a few places to stop and take in the view along the way. If I am ever in Arizona again, I want to take more time to stop at more of these places and explore. We did,... More

Scenic 'old highway' from Kingman to Oatman with spectacular desert - mountain - river views on paved two-lane winding road. Imagine a Model T climbing this road heading west to California. Check out the remains of copper or silver mines and the miners dwellings. Think twice before taking this road if you have a long RV.

This is old Rt 66. Great ride in car and even better on a motorcycle. On parts of it you can see for miles. Driven this many times between Oatman and Kingman. There is a general store about half way.

Amazing drive. Good road. When you get closer to the Mountains, things start to get more twisty and turns. Travel slow and enjoy the fun of it all. Beautiful scenery. Pull offs if you need a break. We went up, toward Oatman.

Only a 3,000 foot pass, and road was very well kept. Guard rails & new surface. The scenic view around every turn was breathtaking! I took photos from top to bottom. It's embedded in my mind!
