As we asked a friend for a good location to make good panorama pictures of Jacaranda Blooming in Pretoria he recommended us to drive up to Fort Klapperkop. So we did and did not regret it. You get a nice Panoramic view over the city....More

I found the fort a little underwhelming. Fantastic view over Pretoria was a bonus but the Fort and museum itself was only average. If you have time and are interested in Boar War history go.

I visit this venue a few times a year and I'm pleased to note that it's improving on each visit. Good historical museum with a lot of factual information. It's usually quiet and I welcome the serenity whilst wandering the grounds.

Well worth a visit, for the History and the great vistas. Close to the Voortrekker monument and Groenkloof nature reserve, for a great days outing (and or use your MTB for a cycle tour)

Should be done in conjunction with the Voortrekker monument visit as access is easily achieved by taking the rear road from the Voortrekker carpark. Great viewpoint across Pretoria and the surrounding hills. Well preserved fort with a number of good displays and diorama of a...More
