Could the public visiting the Smuts House please be aware of the following: Today I write this post as a frustrated and annoyed South African. Smuts House advertises, and actually directs members of the public to trespass on private property with their walking and doggy...More

Visiting Smuts House is a reminder of great man who went before all of us living today. His influence reached far beyond the African borders, his intelligence and influence is evident in this well maintained display.

We go here often, the Smuts house is beautiful, and its so nice to see all the flea market stalls and nice food. Sometimes they have someone who sings or play music, it's very nice between the trees.

A well preserved house which really gives you a sense of the man. Lots of informative displays and much to read, also some fascinating photographs of the Royal visit in 1947 and Smuts’ funeral in 1950. There is apparently a guide but he didn’t turn...More
