This museum is very under-rated. It is a great outing for the family with a beautiful house and gardens. Have lunch under the trees or order a picnic basket.

This 48 room, beautiful Victorian mansion which is now a museum, with it's lovely garden, is definitely worth a visit. The Mansion, which is called Zwartkoppies Hall and dates from 1884, is situated about 23 klms outside Pretoria. It was the home of Sammy Marks(...More

Wonderful family outing. The ladies knowledge is beyond belief, and answering all the questions we had in detail.

The night tour and meal served for my birthday in the kitchen is a memory that will never be erased from my memory. The guide and dad/daughter team in the restaurant are the best!!

We really enjoyed the food and garden. The tour was great and learned lots of thing we never knew, like where does the word Posh come from. If your in the area and have time to spare go and visit them.

Olde worlde charm and elegance, certainly one of the most well preserved Victorian houses in the world, with a wonderful team of dedicated curators, gardeners, guides, etc... The house is EXACTLY as it was, wonderfully kept, so are the gardens, croquet lawn, fruit orchard etc....More

Not as well kept as I would have liked it to be, but then again, there is not much government support as there should be for this heritage site. Stunning little tea garden though.

I am so very sorry I missed your question, Noah. You can indeed book a special dinner served in the old kitchen of the Museum, as a matter of fact, on the old staff table, next to the gigantic iron coal stove. Set menu... More
