A great place to visit. The history of Africaners is well captured by the murals, drawings and friezes with very clear descriptions. The view from the top is excellent. At least 2-3 hours are needed for proper tour if the minument.

Great day out in the City. Wonderful view of Pretoria with a history lesson thrown in. Have a Braai under the Thorn trees while Zebra walk right past. Take your mountain bikes and ride safely in the heart of the city.

It would be best to contact the Voortrekker Monument and get information from them about a tour in French. They could probably make arrangements for such a tour.

There are substantial grounds around the monument but I don't know if pets are allowed in the structure itself. Check the website on that issue.
