Very tidy park. Ample parking. Has jogging and walking trails. A canoe club. Many people walk their dogs and cycle through the park. a Lovely Rose garden with beautiful water fountain. Many couples use the venue for wedding photography shoots. The park is well maintained. Free entrance. Can also have Braai on Louw Geldenhys road overlooking the dam and park.... More

Beautiful ally maintained! A pure pleasure to visit... it was so enjoyable and it made us feel like we had stepped out of South Africa for a few hours! So beautiful!

Good place to walk the dog (didn't see anyone without one) or simply see green. But not really much more... It was nice however, well-kept!

Great for an outdoor activity, pokemon go stops as well. kept the kids busy for hours. Can picnic to cycling and even rowing allowed. was utterly awesome considering you don't pay for entrance and security is 100% alert and clean all around.

Another of Johannesburg's very well maintained public parks. Go sailing, canoeing or just swimming in the dam lake, take a picnic and settle down under a tree, or just wander around the vast park. There are lots of well laid paths, or you can just wander off as you like and there is plenty of shade on a hot day.... More

I drive past daily and enjoy the view of the tree lined dam, especially in Autumn and Spring. If you live in Johannesburg this is a lovely place for a chilled picnic or to exercise. The kids love feeding the geese here or watch canoes pass by and the rose gardens are beautiful. It is a popular spot for pretty... More

The drought of 2016 spoilt my visit as the water gardens amidst the rose gardens were dry, the grass was almost hay. The refreshments cafe was disappointing.Garden staff didn't seem to know where the cycad garden and alpine gardens were, I never did fine them. In a wetter season things might improve
