You pay SANparks an entrance to walk a few minutes to 2 big trees. There are 2 other "trails". We did the yellow one which involved trudging along a dirt path amongst the forest with no view. The whole venue is simply not wirth the effort.

This adventure in the national park is a short visit to a tree 36 metre tall and 1000 years old.The visit to Tsitsikamma hanging bridge is far better.

Helpful staff and a stunning walk through the forest. The trees were incredible.
We took the middle walk and explored the path with delight.

It’s all in the title!
You have to pay an entrance fee to do the forest walk under the canopy. The walk is approximately 1km to get to a large -90-100ft survivor of the ancient forest. We enjoyed the experience but if you were short on time, I wouldn’t bother.

Looked on the website and it said it closes at 6pm, so drove 2 hours to get there by 4.30pm only to find out they just decided to close at 4pm that day. So maybe call to see if it’s open before you go, can’t trust whoever is in charge there.

This is a lovely walk on a beautifully maintained boardwalk. The forest is magical and wonderful. At the gate there’s also a restroom and giftshop.

Lovely short walk on a well maintained wooden path to get to the big tree. Walking though the tranquil forest was relaxing. New entrance looks amazing, well done SANPARKS!

The Tsitsikamma Big Tree was re-opened to visitors during September 2020. A small coffee shop is available, but it was not open at the time of our visit. A wooden walkway winds through the forest and leads to another majestic big tree. There is a hiking trail available for a longer walk.
