We always stop over at the bridge when travelling.
To take in the amazing views; to refresh and revive the soul and stomach and to take in the view from the deck which is adjacent to the restaurants there.
Beautiful views of the scenery and fynbos as well as to drink in the fresh and fragrant air.
The facilities always clean.

We always stop here for a quick bite on our way to and from Plettenberg Bay. The bathroom facilities are always kept very clean. There is plenty of choice for a quick snack before continuing on a journey.

Walking over the bridge gives you a great and spectacular view. Worthwhile stopping if you pass. Take about half an hour to walk over the bridge on both sides.

This is a lovely bridge over a steep gorge, worth parking your car and taking a walk along the bridge to admire the scenery. Don't look down if you are scared of heights!

The Storms River Service station is a great place to take a break when travelling the garden route. There are some fast food restaurants there and some nice picnic areas. There is a viewing deck at Steers Restaurant that gives a great view of the Storms river bridge. You can also walk out on to the bridge and view the gorge below. Worth a stop.

This was another comfort stop for our group tour on the way along the garden route.
Fantastic views from the viewing platforms, especially when one of our group volunteered to do a bungee jump off the bridge!

The Storms River Bridge petrol station is well worth a stop if you are traveling on the Garden Route. There is an excellent viewing area from the bride which allows you to view the gorge from the bridge. Amazing views, well worth the break in the journey.

The Paul Sauer Bridge is one of 5 large concrete arch bridges on the N2 Garden route from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. This bridge also known as the Storms River bridge was the first to be built and was completed in 1956. Designed by Ricardo Morandi, the bridge was built 28 years before the highest 3 Bloukrans-area arches came along in 1984. Many passers-by take the time to stop and take a walk across the bridge to enjoy the view.
