A land with a unique natural, cultural and historical diversity, unsurpassed in the modern world today. Host to some seriously authentic destinations, some in modern world class cities while others are found in remote, hidden localities. It is this country we undertake to show you with a passion and delight, whether traveling on your dream holiday or doing business in this dynamic sector. We will guide you with the expertise accumulated over time spent in the wildlife and hospitality industry. Guide you, with a passion undiminished, in fact enhanced with the passage of time. We revel in the vast open spaces, spaces so expansive that many visitors find the distances difficult to adjust to. The magnificent diversity of South Africa’s historical past, the cultural presence of our people, “Our Rainbow Nation”, a term coined by the Nobel peace prize winning, Arch-Bishop emeritus Desmond Tutu "the Bish” when searching to describe the cosmopolitan composition of the people of South Africa.

We booked in advance by email and received an excellent rapid response from Angelika who was extremely efficient and obliging and gave us full details. When we docked we were greeted by our tour guide Malcolm who was waiting for us in a smart vehicle. Since it was just my wife Angela and me on the tour we set off... More

Before I forget - Carmen recommends you bring a battery pack to charge your phone/camera. A full day of photo taking will take a toll on the batteries. Angelika worked with us to arrange prepayment by credit card for our tour to Addo Park. We were picked up by Carmen at our hotel at 7:30 and then we drove around... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of being conducted through Addo Elephant Park by Alan Fogarty of Alan Tours on Monday 13 February 2017. The whole experience was first rate, right from the moment we sought information on a day trip to the Park from his helpful partner, Angelika. We were collected early in the morning in a comfortable... More

Really nice trip with Alan to a nice nearly untouched wildlife park. Having worked in the wildlife obviously all his life, he knows the best spots and is able to answer all the question about the animals there. And for sure, it is a nice atmosphere with him, as you have a lot of time during the trip to talk... More

First of all you need to e-mail info@alantours.co.za. We booked a cruise to South Africa calling in at Port Elizabeth which is famous for visiting the Addo Elephant Park. Cruise tours are so expensive - take you on a coach and have to stick to the main roads through the park. Alan himself picked us up from the cruise terminal,... More

We did a Big 7 -safari in October and saw more animals than we expected. Seeing whales on the marine safari was amazing, even though we missed the dolphins. It was a great experience and I recommend it if you have time only for a one day safari.

I really enjoyed both the marine and the land-based part of the Big 7 Tour, watching elephants, buffalos, zebras, penguins, dolphins and even whales!
