Very lovely beach

Except the kids that beg on the board walk for food and they are quite rude also they will come right up to you and keep on asking even though you said no , i think there should be more police to keep them away

But sand is lovely and clean also the water

Plettenburg Bay beach is truly spectacular, although the water is very cold! The surfers and wind surfers are worth watching. Great place to go for a picnic.

Plett has a wonderful beach and we spent a very long morning walking along it, enjoying the people watching and seeing the fish in the shallows and the birds in the scrub grass. The views from the lookout on the town side of the beach are great too

What a superb beach this is, although I wouldn’t fancy risking surf boarding there! The beach is really spectacular on a nice day, which luckily for us it was!

OK place but we have seen better beaches in South Africa. Difficult to find a place with an ocean view to have a drink on a hot day.

Walk to the left to find quieter spots and shade under the rocks. Water is cold! 50 Rand (maybe we paid too much) to hire an umbrella for the day.

Plettenberg Bay is very pet UNFRIENDLY .
The only beaches that dogs can run free are at the outer limits of the village -
Restaurants ditto
Plet needs to wake up if they want tourists to visit - don’t they know pet tourism is the biggest growth market ??
Pity about their pet policies - clearly there’s enough money in circulation to not encourage local tourism

Long sandy beach to walk on. Unfortunately no nice terrace to have a drink. To do this you have to walk to Beacon Island, cross the road and walk to the terraces overthere.

I try to travel to as many beaches in this world that my budget will allow.

Kauai has stunning beaches but many are very dangerous. The Maldives has picture perfect beaches but try to do a 8km walk on a postcard sized island. In Croatia you wont find a patch of sand for your beach towel. The Seychelles dont always have waves if you like body boarding. In Spain you might find yourself on a very crowded beach. Zanzibar is a joke unless you stay in the north or time your stay with the tides. Miami beach is great but you wil burn through your rands if you enjoy quality seafood. Anyhow…

Many of these beaches have fantastic attributes but Plet jus offers so much. If you happen to get good weather 70% of the time you have to spend in Plet you will still have a brilliant holiday. There is just so much to do. Check the hourly weather prediction and plan your beach time accordingly. At some point during the day you will be able to enjoy this fab beach.
