So beautiful. We are sixty but pretty fit and we did the whole hike. Our guide suggested we just do half but it happened to be a glorious clear day and the ocean was pretty calm so we did the whole thing. Fabulous! I could see how it would be difficult, even dangerous if the ocean was very rough because... More

When we arrived, we were a little disheartened to find a sea mist enveloping the peninsula. Luckily, it frequently lifted in places and we had a memorable walk enjoying the wildlife (seals, dassies, lizards, locusts & many interesting birds) as well as the lovely views. The beach at Witsand really has the wow factor.

We took the long trip around the whole reserve. The first half had stunning views and lots of seals. At halftime, we relaxed and watched the seals playing in the waves. The hike was interesting, had small trails and was challenging at times.

There are not so many incredibly beautiful places in the world that you can enjoy without being there with many others. This seems to be one of them.

We had decided to do a morning walk on Robberg and were in the reserve by 8 (it only opens at 7). We chose the middle-length walk of 5.5km, which was still pretty tough in places! Definitely calls for proper walking shoes, sunblock, hats and plenty of water. We had a magical experience in that we witnessed a Great White... More

Had a nice afternoon hiking. We did the 5km hike as we didn't have time for the full 9km hike. The views were beautiful and we managed to see the seals down the cliffs. Recommend spending some time to relax at the beach also.
