Informative guide who had actually worked in the mine. Very descriptive of the mine's history from 1881 thru to 1975. Helped to understand the working life of the miner. Well worth doing.

One of the best aspects of this tour is that an actual former copper miner leads the tour. He had to be 80+ years old but he was very knowledgeable and answered every question that he could give an answer for though some questions were beyond his expertise as an underground miner. The tour lasts about 60-70 minutes and takes... More

This tour is a must do for anyone visiting Southern Arizona. Bisbee is a million times better then it's neighboring tourist trap, Tombstone, 'the town to dumb to die'. And the old Copper Queen mine tour is the best attraction in Bisbee. We made reservations the same morning, and we're bummed to see the school bus in the parking lot... More

I think your experience here is greatly dependent on your tour guide going down in the mines. The tour was very interesting. I feel the staff could have been much more friendly. Also it would be nice for the tram to stop and let you get pictures. Also why don't they offer to take photos of your group, or individual... More

Good introduction to the mining industry and mining history of the American Southwest. The tour starts with each participant receiving a hard hat, light and safety vest or coat. You then board a trolley and ride about a quarter mile inside the mountain making several stops to see and learn things about how the mine was worked through the years.... More

This was a really great tour into the old copper queen mine. Our guide had actually work in the mines his whole life. This made our tour even more fun. First you put on hats and minor lights and they give you a little identification tag like used in real mining industry to determine who was still in the line... More

The price is reasonable, the tour was fun. You get to ride into the mine so this tour doesn't require a lot of exertion.

This isn't the first mine that we've toured, and the good thing is they are all different. Part of what makes this one so interesting is that our tour guide worked in the mine in the 60's and 70's before it shut down. His father and grandfather also worked in the mine. Well worth the time to better understand Bisbee.

Vinnie, our tour guide, did a wonderful job teaching the group about the workings of an underground mine. Vinnie's personal stories brought historic mining to life. The good, the bad, the funny moments, and the nightmares. No matter what your feelings about the extraction of resources from the planet, this is our history and in some areas, our present and...
