Very interesting and a wealth of great information from the retired miner guides. Exciting miners train tour into the mine on three different levels of the mine. Nice, cool, and dark inside the mine. Don't have to worry though, because they will provide you with...More

Went on the mine tour with our friends and had a great time. The staff working the tour and helping you with equipment did a great job. I think we lucked out when we got Dave for our guide. Dave was a miner for 11...More

Reservations are important as we were unable to get in our first try. Straddling a padded seat on a mine train riding on the original tracks, we entered the mine with guide Joe, a 40-year mine veteran. His stories were enlightening, and gave the full...More

Loved our Queen Mine Tour. The price was right, and our mine tour was well worth our time. The stories told about the mine made me realize how important this mine was to Bisbee. I had such a great time and would do this tour...More

With a steady 47 degrees temperature year round the Mine is the place to be in the hot summer while visiting Bisbee, AZ. The tour takes about 1 hour and is fine for kids and adults, but be sure to bring a jacket for the...More

Excellent tour guide gave us a unique look into mining and how it intertwined with Bisbee. Heard rumors the trip was claustrophobic, but that is an urban legend. Felt very comfortable and safe.

Fun little mine tour if you want to learn about mines and what it was like to work in one. Tour guides are actual miners who have worked underground so you get first hand knowledge. Highly recommend calling ahead and making a reservation so you...More

As long as you don't get claustrophobic easily, this is a really fun learning experience. You will learn more in a short time about the mining industry than by any other means. The guides are actual former miners in THIS mine and they know their...More

We had taken this tour over ten years ago and enjoyed it this time also. It's very informative and I think the fact that our guide actually worked there at one time made it even better. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting....More

Hi The stairs are optional, 36 steps up and down. If a person choses not to do the stairs a staff member waits with them and talks about other thing about the mine.

Is radon gas any type of issue? With young (4 yr old) children partucularly? There is a newspaper 2013 article about tours at that time ending due to concern in part over radon?
