Unfortunately we went on a rainy day, so the dogs were up but we enjoyed the film. It's more of a gift shop, but a good place to stretch your legs. We were lucky no tour buses were there when we arrived, but a couple...More

We enjoyed this. They have a short video and you have a chance to ride with the dogs pulling . On our visit they had puppies to hold and take pictures.

I'd been to the museum shop back in March '17, a couple of days before the start of the Iditarod 2017. As an animal lover, I had my days of skepticism about "what are these people doing to their dogs"? Then I watched the video,...More

Interesting visit. The video of the Iditarod was very interesting. However, the dog cart ride is exciting but very short.

Puppies! Enough said, this alone makes it worth the stop. Great little gift shop and informative video. For $10 you can take a (very) quick ride on a dog sled. Such a cool experience!

A very nice place. Quick and easy to get to. We learned a lot about dog sledding history and present day dog sledding. Took a quick ride pulled by a team of dogs that was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely museum explaining the history of the Iditarod. The 30 minute video is worth the time. Lots of the previous champions explain their love of the race and their dogs. We were lucky enough to get to hold a baby husky that was there. There...More

They are open daily 8a.m. to 7 p.m. until mid September. The number is 907-376-5155 ext .108. I'm sure they would try to help your Troop. The girls can watch a short film about the race and see a replica mushers cabin. The... More
