Take the little ones. Safe beach if swimming between the flags and very attentive life guards. Doggy folk - fantastic for exercising the dog. Restrictions in summer means before 1000 and after 5pm if off leash. Best at half tide for more sand and sunbaking. The most beautiful family beach in the world and fabulous for star gazing - no... Nice beach, suitable for walking, swimming, SUP, kayaking, and wind and kite surfing when the wind is blowing 12 plus knots coming from the East. Lots of children's play and picnic areas.

A great expanse of sand, wide at low tide and still not crowded at high tide, walk, run, relax, enjoy, one of the best beaches I have ever seen.

The beach is lovely to have a stroll along and is only a few minutes away from the main road and shopping centre. There is a nice walkway that follows the coast line, lined by trees and the beach is very nice.

Orewa Beach is a lovely place to stroll along. Great little parks and shopping centre with good selection of cafes and restaurants. Although fish and chips on the beach are always a favourite.

Lovely beaches looking out across the bay. I was only passing through, but stopped to have a look and a quick walk. It was also winter so a little cold for a dip

A marvellous place for many activities. Walking, swimming, surfing, kite surfing, fishing, whatever it is possible to do on a beach, you can enjoy it here. Always full of life with dogs of all shapes and sizes to watch having fun, people walking to relax or striding out for fitness. Just a wonderful place.
