This is a good place, boat access only. If you don’t swim it is a little scary later in the afternoon. Wear shoes - a lot of shells that can hurt the feet
Once on the island great music cold beer!

Increadible! Very beautiful! Clean water with a lot of fish. You need to walk inside water (no danger and no problem, it is not deep) to go to the island or you can rent a boat to go to the other side.

This place is like a waterway that in the morning is really shallow and calm. You can cross to the island and walk around. The water is really calm and has a lot of fishes and all sort of small aquatic animals. Kids love this place and there are a lot of aquatic activities. There are two main restaurants and two other tents that sell food and rent chairs. Usually the price for the chairs and the umbrella is to eat/ drink in the place ( no minimum). The park is R$ 10,00 per car.

If you're staying in/around Cabo Frio, you cannot miss this place. You have to access the nearest parking by car, pay a little fee to leave the car, and then cross the water on a shallow passage to reach the island.
The sand is white and the water really clear, it's a really beautiful place.

I would recommend to avoid going during long week end as the small island gets crowded, and you might even meet large group of people bringing their own loud music, and disturbing all the other people around without seeming to care at all..

Great place for BBQ and small kids. Take mosquito repellent with you. On very hot days and weekends in the summer months, this place will be extremely crowded.

The Japanese island is like heaven after carnival, during the months of March, April and May. A place to enjoy nature and refresh your soul!

Beautiful place and the people who work there are very helpful and attentive... the water is always warm but the best thing is calm water.. as this time of year can be dangrous in other places ... so be careful but no need for none of that here

The island is within view of my home here in Cabo Frio. The waters surrounding the island are very calm and a great place to bring younger children. Shore side has a restaurant which serves food and drink for a modest price. If you drive there, a nominal parking fee is charged by the city. You may wade/swim the few meters over to the island or there are oared skiffs which will carry you over for a small fee. There is a rather large sand bar in the canal which makes perfect swimming for younger swimmers but is not too shallow to be boring for older youngsters. Crabs, fish and the occasional penguin will be encountered there as well. From Cabo Frio, you may take a taxi. Bus line does not make it all the way there. At the parking area, you may, if you dare, make the trek to Brava Beach over the mountain. It is the naturalist beach. Secluded and a nice sandy beach as well, so I have been told!

The beach is wonderful, beautiful place 💞

But unfortunately, everything is charged and parking is expensive, I had already been to that beach and there was none.

There's nothing, an ugly place, it's completely boring, I regret leaving Arraial to come here, on one side there's a dirt street and on the other there are parked boats and houses, we don't like it.
