Exploring the Mosque with Aysha Al-Yammahi, an Exceptional Guide.
I recently had the privilege of taking a tour of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Fujairah, with the knowledgeable guide Aysha Al-Yammahi. It was a truly enriching experience that left an amazing long lasting impression. Aysha’s expertise and passion for the subject matter were evident from the start. Her genuine enthusiasm for the subject matter was contagious, and it made the tour feel more like a journey of discovery than just a visit. I would truly recommend the tour to anyone seeking a meaningful exploration of this religious heritage.

    Exceeded Expectations - very interesting
On a day trip from Dubai by hire car to East Coast and Fujairah area. The mosque dominates the skyline and is even more impressive close up. At first we were rather hesitant to park and up and walk around , but the guard on the gate was very welcoming and pleased that we wanted to visit. To enter the mosque it's very easy and we were asked to politely wear trousers for the gent and for my wife to wear leggings/cover arms and head scarf. From there we walked into the main entrance and were greeted by more friendly staff and asked if we wanted to walk around certain areas ourselves or have a short 30 min guided tour. I would recommend the guided tour , which is not onerous and not complicated , but so much more informative and interesting , especially in the main prayer room. Our guide Aisha Al yammahi could not have been more enthusiastic , personable and well informed. We certainly benefited from her knowledge and ability to answer all of our questions. Her English was also excellent , and we had a fun and engaging time throughout. The scale of the Mosque and decor and general presence of the building is quite something and I would recommend if you have an hour to spare.

Stunning mosque in the city center
Beautiful mosque with impressive design. It is located near the city center, but unlike many tourist destinations, it was almost empty. Thanks to Maryam Alabdoli, who provided a free guided tour, which taught us a lot about the history, architecture, and design of this amazing place, and was happy to answer any questions.

Breathtakingly mosque, a beautiful and serene experience at the grand mosque, with the guide Muhammad
The Grand Mosque is a breathtakingly beautiful place to visit. The design and architecture are stunning, with intricate details that really captivate you. The mosque is incredibly clean and exudes a sense of peace and tranquility. The guide Muhammad were very friendly and welcoming, eager to share the fascinating history and stories behind the mosque's construction. My visit to the Grand Mosque was a wonderful experience, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I learned. I highly recommend visiting this serene and beautiful place if you have the chance, such a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary. But, it's important to follow the dress code before you go to respect the sacred space. Highly recommended!

Visiting Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Fujairah ( leaded by tour Guide AYSHA)
Visiting Sheikh Zayed Mosque - Fujairah was a pleasant experience in itself. You can understand it in different ways, including religious, cultural and tourist attractions. Our 30-35 mints tour was leaded by a very proficient lady tour guide name AISHA. She explained all the fact from the concept of the mosque, its construction and architecture, involvement of not just Fujairah royal family, official but also workers and labors who put their joint efforts to create this historical monument. The stone, building material, Chandelier, Glass, Carpets and Arabic Islamic painting inside the domes are attraction points. Similar in appearance to the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, AISHA told us that there are 65 domes and six minarets between 80m and 100m of height, Main area of mosque is 39,000 m2 that holds accommodation capacity of around 28,000 worshippers, and same time the courtyard of the mosque, with fountains and gardens, can hold 14,000 people. One can visit this place in following aspects Architectural : The mosque showcases stunning Islamic architecture with intricate designs and grand domes. Spiritual : As a place of worship, it provides a serene environment for reflection and prayer. Cultural Insight: Visitors can gain a deeper understanding of Islamic culture and traditions, also included some of international significant item adopted with in mosque. Photographic Opportunities: The mosque's beautiful exterior and interior provide excellent photo opportunities.

Many a times, we drive past these magnificient pieces of beautiful architecture and sometimes we do get curious to see the beauty and know more about the history, the efforts and just admire it.
Well, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque of Fujairah is definitely worth a visit to gulp in the beautiful design, architecture and to hear the story behind it.

One of the most spectacular masjids in UAE. It is a sight for sore eyes. Built as per the ottoman design with plenty of Islamic arabesque design and art, it is a must visit.

After booking a visit thru the Mosque website, I was warmly welcomed by Miss Aysha Al Yammahi, one of the very helpful and informative tour guides at the entrance. Just to hear the finest and interesting details was clearly heart filling.

I decided to opt for the guided tour and believe me, it was truly wonderful and we enjoyed every minute we spent listening and seeing the wonder get detailed in front of us.

The prayer call and the recitation of this masjid is also worth a special mention. It is one of the most melodic I have heard anywhere.

A must visit, and yes.. You will come back with a contented heart.

We visited the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Fujairah during our trip to the UAE in October 2022.
This is a huge mosque with capacity of 28,000, built based on the plan of the blue mosque in Insatanbul.
We had a guided tour inside the mosque with Aysha Al Yammahi and she was very good guide and very nice,
Pay attention that the mosque accept tourists only in the morning.

We were stuck in Abu Dhabi for a long afternoon because of an overbooked flight. We took a taxi from a city hotel to the mosque very spontaneously. The taxi was very cheap, we were surprised that there was no entrance fee to the mosque, but we found it strange that the entrance from a mall leads underground and so you have no chance to photograph the mosque from further away without any annoying pillars. We were here at 5.40pm and so we experienced everything in daylight and then at blue hour and in the dark. I can only recommend this time period, as the mosque has two different faces in daylight and in the dark and both are beautiful. Highly recommended, even for a short stay in the city.

Booked the first tour of the day at 10:00 and our family party of 6 comprising a mix of residents and visiting tourists (most of whom were first-time visitors to a mosque) were warmly received by gate security and then introduced to our mosque liaison - Mr. Mohammed Althabbahi. Mohammed very kindly and patiently explained the very many interesting facets of the imposing building. The pride and passion with which he undertook the tour and answered our questions enhanced the overall experience. In terms of the structure - be it the outer court, the arabesque patterns carved on the massive doors, or the intricate designs on the interior of the many domes, the plush and pristine carpet or the stained glass in the prayer hall - it was all breathtaking. But the highlight for us would have to be the 7- ton central chandelier in the inner prayer hall. That and the other smaller chandeliers added majestic aura to building. One can only imagine how much more beautiful the mosque would look in the evening or night once all of them are fully lit up. For all of us, the serene and rather interesting cultural experience that we derived from the Grand Mosque alone made our long trip from Dubai to Fujairah entirely worth it.

The mosque is breathtakingly beautiful and amazing. I planned a tour for today at nine o'clock. Ms. Moza greeted me warmly. She was quite clever and knowledgeable about many aspects of the mosque's background and history. She was incredibly intelligent and well-versed in many facets of the mosque's background and history. She is really engaging with me; in fact, she even asked me to make some educated guesses about the mosque. The tour was extra nice because I was the only booked guest at the time. Nice to meet you again, Ms. Moza!
