Stunning scenery and abundance of wildlife to enjoy a great day out - take your camera! Plenty of boats in the harbour to choose from for this trip, which usually include a stop at the mud baths in the lake. Recommend Mondays as a visit to a market is also included.

If you want to go Iztuzu beach via car you will see a beautiful lake surrounded by small mountains. There are some benches if you want to sit and enjoy the view. At the weekend benches are almost full with people who would like to have their breakfast near the lake. Also you can go via bicycle. The route is... More

Stunningly beautiful and wonderfully cool and refreshing to swim in. Might even spot a turtle if you're lucky.

Having grown up in Dalyan, its the places like Sulunger Lake that stay fresh in my memory. It is a beautiful, untouched lake perfect with amazing wildlife and scenery. You cant go to Dalyan without visiting or passing this lake.

What a fantastic place Dalyan is. Taking a boat trip on this lake at any time of the day is just wonderful - it is just so unique. When you hear the different birdsong and see the fish jumping or the odd turtle swimming around it feels as if you could be in paradise. We went on the moonlight boat... More

I report on the lake up river from Dalyan town. Some 12,500 acres of water. Enjoy bird watching? Like sitting on a boat watching the world go by? Relish the idea of swimming in water with 'hot spots'? Generated by nature, not us!! A lazy day on the lake with a BBQ lunch has become 'a must' after many trips... More

Sulungur is the large lake that you pass on the road to Iztuzu beach. It's a flat road, easily cycled to from Dalyan. A favourite spot for locals and there is a great restaurant (Ekin Dip Dag, just before the incline) offering turkish breakfast and pomegranite juice.

what a night , it was warm , starry and not a sound could be heard except for the local wildlife , cruising leisurely across the lake to the mud baths and springs , followed by a sumptuous Turkish meal aboard our boat , words cannot describe the feeling and experience of the lake at night , so we would... I had my first sunset (star gazing) cruise to the lake nearly 16 years ago. My recent visit was to take friends to the mud bath. The lake is always a pleasure to swim in, what a joy having fresh warm water. There were tiny fish all around who didn't seem the least bit disturbed by people. The trip there... More
