This church no longer functions as a Parish so access is difficult. Inside is the baptismal font where St Teresa was baptised.

This historic church is small, simple and unassuming. I passed by this church which is located near Plaza Mayor. For those who are keen in the life of Saint Teresa, this church should not be missed together with the Convent of Santa Teresa de Jesus.

Could not enter church but could see baptismal chapel where St. Theresa was baptized. Large baptismal font.

Located next to the Plaza Mayor, the historic church is the site where Saint Theresa was baptized. A plaque besides the church door mentions this. The church itself is small, beautiful, simple and well preserved. Worth a short stop on your Avila tour.

The only claim to fame that this church has is that it is where St. Teresa was baptized. Otherwise, it is just another church.
