Nice trip to Sighisoara. Interesting history of the stairs. Once arrived on the top you will get a very nive panorama of the city.

It links the St Nicholas Church on the hill with the rest of the old town. It takes you about 5-8 minutes to climb the stairs. Sometimes there is a guy singing at the entrance, making the walk more enjoyable.

Granted it's a lot of stairs, but the novelty wears off about 2 mins in. Take a photo from the top and it sort of looks like a mine shaft.

It's interesting going up there but I wouldn't say it's a must see. You do get to see the church, the old school and a decent view.

That’s the count rhythm you need to get into your head for going up this stairway: 6 steps up + 2 steps to cover each landing. We went up the hill via the stairway and down the hill on the cobblestone path. Great views from...More

Pace yourself-it is a hard climb but it is covered with rest stops. I made it but it was sad and slightly irritating to find a women sitting on one side and a child on the other begging for money. It left a small place...More

178 steps with a rest stop after each sixth step so it isn't too arduous. Worth the trip up these to see the Church and the old school. If you don't feel like coming down the same way, wander down through the cemetery at the...More

The steps lead you to the Church on the Hill. There are wooden steps and then stone landings. People can rest as they go as there are handrails too. Good fun.
