360 degree views! Ancient clock tower with working chimes

Well worth the climb if only for the views. Charming painting remains on the exterior. The bell tower still chimes and you can get a close up view of the chimes inner workings.

The tower will no doubt feature in most of your photos of the town; it is stunning. But it's equally worth the small fee to take a trip up the tower, across ancient creaking floorboards and up the wooden steps to take in the view from the top. The red roofs across the town look like something from Terry Pratchett's... More

At 15lei entry, the clock tower entrance fee is a bargain. Definitely the number one attraction within the historic centre. To keep you entertained as you climb the stairs there is the history museum, with exhibits on each level. At the viewing platform, the panoramic views really make the towns layout clear. There are kilometre markers and direction signs to... More

The enter price is very low, especially for students. My girlfriend said that she is in love with this place. She really took a ton of photos.

I like to go to the view points in a town and once up, the view was lovely on a clear day, and I enjoyed the distance signs that were up. I didnt bother with the things on display in the actual tower

From the top of the clock tower you can see the historic area. The climb isn't too difficult and there rooms to visit on the way up, so you could rest if needed.

Gives a great view of the city, after an interesting climb up various staircases; mostly steep wooden ones, but there's at least one twisting stone flight. Museum pieces on the way up showing the various skills of the old medieval guilds are worth a look. Fair price for entry.

Clock tower ... it's just an old tower without so many things to see inside it except some pieces of furniture (not so many) and of course: the clock - an old mechanism which you can admire behind a windows. Very nice is the view of the old and new city of Sighisoara that you can have once you reach... More

Excellent view of the town, in the snow it was even prettier. Thoroughly recommend going despite the entrance fee just to head up. Nice little trinket type of display on the way up.
