Beautiful beach and not very crowded. Sea was a bit rough when we went there so we have to be careful. They have a beach aprk nearby where we can sit and enjoy the beauty. It is decorated with wall arts and is well maintained. Kids have a small park also inside this . Adults can sit and enjoy the scenic beauty from within the park, sunset view is awesome

Samudra Beach was comparatively lonely having scenic views, rocks and coconut trees near by. Fishing activities were common here..

Situated away from Kovalum centre and Lighthouse beach, small scale area with some shops and restaurants. Some restaurants have been recommended in Trip Advisor but when we visited they were open but empty and lacking any character. Beach was clean and safe and very quiet,

This is the most beautiful beach in Kovalam. It is much smaller than the more popular Lighthouse Beach. However its just as crowded. A portion of the beach is a pvt beach for the guests of the Samudra resort. The water is very clean and pristine. You can go for speed boat rides too. Its delightful to stand at the shore and feel like you are in a swimming pool. Dont miss this beach!

On this beach you can watch the fishermen put their nets out to sea and pull them in by hand you may want to sit and enjoy a coffee while you wait as it takes them some time. We loved to sit at the Seagull restaurant run by Lawrence great guy very helpful
and trustworthy and not forgetting Sabu who works there.

This is a very small stretch of beach. Access to the beach is not too great but a beach nevertheless.

This is not a beach in the same way Kovalam or Lighthouse beach is a beach. Samuarda beach is a short drop, some large rocks (+ litter) then the sea (which was rough when we visited in March). I believe it used to be a sandy beach before a tsunami a couple of years ago, hence more positive reviews and photos from reviews in the past. It's saving grace is that there are some great restaurants on the beachfront where you can eat and watch the sun go down.

Lovely beach to watch the waves and birds. Sand was a bit oily, so not too good for sitting on, but lots of great local bars which are right on the sea front - so you can sit and enjoy a drink/food whilst enjoying the views.

Not frequented by hecklers and hawkers the ideal beach for amazing sunset views walks and sweeping cobwebs. Choppy waters make it unsafe to swim but the sheer walk on the shore of the wild waves is a memorable experience.

This beach is still preserved because of less footfall and lesser attention. Long beach lined with coconut trees still have virgin island feeling.

Is there an entry fee to Samudra Beach Park?
Written 2 January 2018
It appears you are confusing beach itself with some park. There is no park as such. There is only samudra beach and it is public beach, free for all. Hope it helps.
