I live on Lazy Mtn. near the trail head. It is a great hike for medium to difficult hiking. Watch for bears. The view is spectacular!

This is a really great trail that gets the blood pumping and it allows for super views on a clear day. I met a few other locals and all were very pleasant and friendly. As others mentioned, wait until its dry to have a great...More

Don't let the name fool you, this is a serious hike. You can either take the more direct but very steep route or the meandering Lazy Moose trail (where you are very likely to see moose). It usually takes us about 3-3.5 hours to summit...More

This is a wonderful trail up mountain. Some areas are steep. Absolutely awesome views at the top. Not for the low energetic. It takes about 2 hrs to top. Four hours to top if you are hauling a bicycle. Clear trail.

Beautiful up on the mountain side! I love that you can look right down over Palmer and how tiny it all looks up there!

Lazy Mountain is a great day hike. It's very easy to get to, and the views as you climb are terrific. There are no switchbacks here, so be prepared for some fairly aggressive grades.

Climbing Lazy Mountain is anything but a leisurely stroll! It starts off with a challenging incline that continues for nearly a mile. About the time you are thinking you have had enough, a picnic table will appear (about 1 mile). Take a break, drink some...More
