Come aboard the "Aleutian Ballad" crabbing vessel as seen on season 2 of the Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch". Depart Ketchikan Alaska for a 3 hour trip to catch king crab, snow crab, octopus, fish, prawns and more. This tour also features some of the best eagle viewing on the planet. Share the allure and adventure that draw fishermen to the sea. Fishing legends that have worked the Bering Sea are your guides, some you may have seen on TV. The vessel has been retrofitted for guests comfort and fun, with a "live" tank on deck to allow for closer viewing of the wondrous creatures brought on board. Guests stay warm, dry and comfortable while we sail calm and protected waters. This is the REAL ALASKA and you won't want to miss it!

Had a great time aboard. Captain and crew very entertaining and knowledgeable. Loved hearing their personal experiences as fishermen. Very cool seeing how these boats and crew make a living from the sea. This was a great excursion and fun for our whole family.

I was expecting an authentic experience … I certainly wasn’t expecting to see plastic crabs in underwater cages and a held hostage octopus; but that’s what they are offering along with a gift shop with food and merchandise for sale. Even though it felt like...More

My husband and I are great fans of the show the deadliest catch. The Aleutian Ballad was on the deadliest catch for the first couple of seasons. On this tour they take you about 20 miles from town and show you had a long line...More

An amazing experience!! The viewing of the Eagles was the best part of this excursion (well that and getting pooped on my a really big shrimp). Also the insight into the crab fishing industry was an added bonus. Andy is ham!!!

We experienced a very well organized tour on their especially modified previous fishing vessel . The ex fisherman of over 30 years gave an insight into the dangers and life threatening experiences they had . They also showed us the ways that they undertook there...More

This was the most awesome tour we did! They have great stories to tell, humor and show you how they pull and set different types of crab pots. The most awesome part was when they pulled next to some land with about 30 bald eagles...More

Being an avid watcher of the show, it was awesome being up close and personal to the activities! The eagle viewing was unbelievable! The crew stories were great, and the crew themselves were very courteous. A great day!

If your cruise stops in Ketchikan, I highly recommend this excursion. Captain Terry is superb and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable. This year they even stop in an area where eagles are nesting. They toss fish in the water and you can watch...More

I imagine you are trying to book through Viator as they are the only company that asks that question. It basically doesn't mean anything if you are arriving by cruise ship. You will walk off of your ship and be on the... More

Hello! Since we do not serve food on our tour it should be fine. Guest can touch the crab if they want to but don't have to if that's an issue. Hope that helps!
