If I am being fair, we did not hike a huge portion of the trail but just the drive to the trailhead is beautiful. We stopped once along the way to hike a little side trail and then hiked about a mile at the trailhead...More

Beautiful area. The Perseverance Mine was here. There is a mining museum and of course lots of nature.

This is a great hike. There are a few lookouts that provide great views of the mining history and valleys. The lookouts aren’t as flat as the rest of he trail and are a bit more difficult, but worth the view.

We took an easy, short hike out to see Ebner Falls & it was beautiful. There's a clearly marked trail & lots of gorgeous scenery. I'd rec. this trail for anyone wanting a quick & beautiful walk in Juneau.

I only went about an hour in and it was lovely, especially around Ebner Falls. It was also neat to see the signs explaining the mining culture in the region. I'd just be careful of the loose rocks. Locals take unleashed dogs and go for...More

Not the nicest hike in Juneau for views but still a fun hike with good views. Some nice lookouts, Ebner falls is a nice spot to hang out for a bit, an old mining campground further up (not much left to look at though). Plaques...More

Walked the trail with my wife. The trail itself is beautiful with many waterfalls and great views of the rivers. The off shoot trails were great, we took the Red Mill trail to the Gloryhole lookout. We walked a total of 8.6 miles. Recommended trail...More

We took a loop hike that started downtown, climbed up into the residential area, then traversed along the Gold Creek Flume trail then connected with the Perserverance Trail. We travelled as far as the waterfall then came down a side trail that leads to a...More

The trail is three miles (one way) of wide paths and gorgeous views. We walked to the trail from the Visitor Center in downtown Juneau which added a couple miles. The incline is pretty gradual but it was definitely noticeable. We saw waterfalls and little...More

Lovely trail with beautiful 360 views. There is no hill top destination, but there are sweeping views everywhere you look. The hardest part it getting to the trail head from the dock, but after that, it is pretty easy to hike. It was great to...More

Hiking boots are fine but good athletic shoes will work on a dry day. The trail is packed dirt, gravel, rocks so nothing too slippery or in stable. Have fun!

Yes, I hike it several times a week during the summer months, sometimes in pouring rain. Although there are steep drop offs to one side of the trail between the overview and the junction with the Mt Juneau trail, the trail... More

The hike is free. You might want to take a taxicab to the trail head, since it's an uphill walk from downtown Juneau and you probably want to spend that time walking through the woods, rather than around offices and houses... More
