Visited this beautiful historic Russian Orthodox church in Juneau while on excursion from a cruise. Was very interesting to see the role of the church played n the lives of the local and especially indigenous Alaskan communities. Though small in size, the church is close...More

The church was beautiful and the art work is amazing! Admission is charged, even though it is considered a 'donation', but well worth it.

The church is very old and full of very old artifacts. It was very interesting and the priest was there to answer questions about the religion and history of the church.

Glad the folks saved this stuff from the fire. Simple church with history. The local guide was great.

We were lucky enough to visit whilst one of the people who takes care of the church was there and he told us all about the church and its history. He even rang the bell for us!

We spent less than 30 minutes here, but learned lots. The inside was fantastic. My favorite was the metal bible cover. It was so interesting...so many details...I loved it! Peaceful little spot in the middle of a cute little town.

The church door was open so we entered to experience all the beautiful old Russian Orthodox icons (sacred paintings of saints displayed around the altar). Get off the beaten path and enjoy this lovely little old church.
