This has been one of the most amazing things we've ever done!! The helicopter ride was fantastic, the views from up high were gorgeous and to see the landscape change as we got closer to the glacier trek was unforgettable. Knowledgeable and awesome guides, I can't say enough. They were helpful but also allowed us the freedom to explore and... More

The whole experience was fantastic from being fitted out with the supplied gear, the pilot, the helicopter, the guides and the experience walking on a glacier, the whole operation was very professional. The helicopter ride into the glacier was a wow experience and worth every cent. Would love to do it again, highly recommend this company.

Very educational strip and knowledgeable staffs. We had a nice Easy walk about 1 hr on the glacier (exactly as what was written on the brochure). However, if I knew that I could handle more challenge than just a easy walk, I would have registered for the next level adventure tour where I saw the others did walk on the... More

Glacier hiking or walking should be in everyone's bucket list. It's a one of a kind experience and an achievement we can be proud of. Not the easiest but manageable for most as there were different capability levels offered. And most importantly is to go with a safe, qualified provider. North Star Trekking has a long, sustained great track record.... More

This was a great tour and one of the highlights of our Alaskan trip! After a very short ride from the cruise ship, we arrived at the private airport. After putting on all of our gear that they provided (coat, pants, boots, gloves, harness, helmets) we had a safety briefing and then loaded in to the helicopter. The ride was... More

We loved the helicopter ride to the trekking once up on the glacier. We did the medium length trek and which we did the longer one. It's absolutely worth the chunk of money. Top 5 moments of my life! Great team and people. Just bring yourself for this tour as they provide all the equipment and gear you need.

We had an excellent time with NorthStar Trekking on the Mendenhall Glacier. The guides were funny, personable, and helpful. Our helicopter pilot was also very knowledgeable. Even though the weather was pretty miserable, their team was friendly and upbeat, which kept the experience very very positive. The 2-hr trek was very manageable; the average age of the rest of our... More

This is a once in a life time experience, so do yourself favor and lock this tour in! It starts with gearing up at the Northstar facility and a safety talk. Then you helicopter to Mendenhall glacier via some breath taking scenery. You get some more gear at the small camp on the glacier (including crampons and an ice axe)... More

My husband and I did the 2 hour glacier trek. They provide all the gear you need -- boots, pants, coats, gloves, helmets and crampons. In fact they don't let you use your own gear for safety reasons. They even provide a fanny pack for holding a granola bar and bottle of water. Dress in layers -- I wore thermal... More
