I believe we paid $5 to enter. There aren’t many artifacts but we loved the video about the gold rush in Juneau. Short of the video there wasn’t much to see.

Nice museum to visit after you have visited the Alaska State Museum. Contains more details on the people and history of Juneau and its part in the evolution of the state.

This gave us a great overview of the area, history, and tips on interesting things to visit in the area. Don't miss the movie presentations either - very informative.

We enjoyed this small museum which is an easy walk from the port. It is an artistically designed introduction to the fascinating history of Juneau, as well as its native culture and includes a 30 minute video presentation. I especially enjoyed learning about a local artist, Rie Munoz through an exhibit of her works.

This museum tells the story of the local area. Learn about the history of the state capital. They also had a special exhibit on local artist Rie Munoz and a 26-minute video about the city.

Enjoyed the history of the town and people. Here you can see details of the canning business, through photos and recorded stories, it is not like the one at Vancouver, but still very informative. It is not very big but worthwhile to visit.

I really liked J-D City Museum. It was informational and not overwhelming. I spent about 90 minutes there and I feel like I was able to visit all the exhibits and spend extra time at the ones that most interested me.

Interesting Museum on the history of Juneau. It is very small but worth taking the time to visit since its a short walk from the cruise ships. Great video and interesting artefacts on display.
