We originally booked the canoe and hike but the rainy weather prevented the trip from being conducted safely. The manager (Katelynn) was wonderful and offered us another option, while refunding a portion of what we paid. The new itinerary was phenomenal and our guides were...More

We did the canoe paddle and glacier trek. It was by far our favorite excursion in Alaska. We lucked out with the weather, it was a beautiful clear day. Our guides were very knowledgeable and all the supplies we needed for the hike were provided.

My husband signed us up for the hike to the Mendenhall Glacier and it was honestly a little beyond his capabilities. There is a LOT of rock scrambling which we both have a hard time with (hey, anxiety!), and then I fell twice (I do...More

Hello! We've signed up for the Mendenhall Glacier Canoe Paddle & Trek tour in June. 1. I understand we should layer our cloths, is down jacket suitable as the insulation layer? 2. would comfortable jeans or warm leggings be suitable? 3. Do we need to bring extra shoes for the tour? 4. Will you be providing crampons or hiking shoes for trekking? If you're providing crampons for trek, will normal running/sport shoes be suitable? 5. How likely will we get wet throughout the trip? Do we need to walk in water? 6. Can we bring a set of dry cloths to be kept in your office, for change when we return from the tour? Thanks!

What are the chances of getting to see ice caves in Mid May? Several reviews state that it is extremely unlikely as the ice is very unstable at this time.
