Very good, easily manageable Visitors Center. The movie was quite good. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The trail to Bishops Beach begins right there. Don't miss this VC!

A little information about the area. Free, which is always good. Nice walking trails. A short film about a research boat that studies wildlife.

Stop in and check out the museum. Lots to see and learn from about the town. Also a little gift shop with lots to choose from. I enjoyed this place. You can even go out back and do a short little hike if you like. Or go down by the beach.

Portions were not open, but the gift shop was nice, the displays were informative and the staff was very helpful. The trails out back were very easy, some were boardwalks.

This is a terrific place to spend a few hours indoors learning of the vast environment of Kachemak bay and surrounding areas. Films, scenes, audio stories, real demos by volunteers or the workers you may even see some live interesting talks on the coastal life. All free by donation if you can.
