The Spit is interesting, and affords a number of shops and restaurants. This is also where all the boat tours depart from, as well as water taxis and the Alaskan Water Highway. A walk in the rocky beach beyond the condos at the end of...More

I'm not one for big crowds and this was during tourist season, but remained calm and respectful to those visiting our state of Alaska. I did go back in the tween season and had a great time.

Wonderful place to go shopping and photo opportunities for glacier and ocean shots. Have to also go see the Salty Dawg when you are there.

I keep reliving our visits to the spit. It really seems like the end of the world and is surrounded by magnificent, peaceful and serene scenery. One cannot ever say this is a mundane place or view.

Home to the Homer fishing fleet and charter boats. A must see when you visit Homer. A great place to get a fishing charter boat!

We were told that we had to visit Homer while in AK, so we made the long drive down to it. Although the Spit (peninsula) portion of Homer definitely had an array of unique tourist places to eat and shop, we thought it was rather...More

Commercial and private boat harbor with incredible views. Fun to visit but for the most part, nothing special or inexpensive, other than the views, which are great. Have fun, but don’t miss the other interesting places in the Homer area.
