We went with Cheryl Mullins of Rainbow Glacier Adventures on a morning tour in Haines. The lifestyle insights of Alaska, scenery, and animal sightings make this a standout. It's a boat ride to get there though interesting landscapes. You need to rug up as it gets chilly on deck if you're out getting photos. This is a professionally run tour... More

We visited Haynes The first week of Sept 2016, and went on the Photography tour with Tom &Carolyn Ganner. They were absolutely awesome, we saw a LOT of Eagles, both young and mature, & we saw two groups of mother bears with their young. One of the mothers was cinnamon color/ a band around her shoulders, her cubs were old... More

I spent a day and a half with Thomas from Rainbow Glaciers. He took me to several awesome spots for incredible photography. He also helped me with the settings on my camera so I would get the best possible shots. His knowledge of the history of Haines was also very cool. I would definitely recommend Rainbow Glaciers to anyone visiting... More

Joe and his team are so knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. My wife and I were up to photograph the gathering of eagles this past Thanksgiving, 2016. I was concerned that with a limited duration to our visit we could not afford to miss photographic opportunities through not being familiar with the area (it's a very big area!) We... More

Thank you Rainbow Glacier staff for a great tour. Our goal was to see bears in Alaska on this trip and we did!! Got someone incredible pictures. This was our 1st excursion separate from the ship, and it was very easy/hassle-free. I would definitely recommend it for family/friends (teens ok, but probably not for small kids).

We had the best time on our photography tour. Rachel took the time with each of us to help us work with our own cameras to get the best shots. I loved that it was a small tour (10 people) of like minded photographers. When we stopped to get a picture of an eagle each person got their shot and... More

Took this tour from Skagway as part of optional shore excursions on our Alaska cruise which included a return boat trip to Haines (45 minutes one way) and 1.5 hour kayaking on Chilcoot Lake. Enjoyed the sail along the fjord with awesome views of enclosing snow-capped mountains, glacier and waterfalls. From the pier in Haines, a short scenic bus ride... More

My fiance and I booked a photography tour in Haines. Our guides were Tom Ganner and his lovely wife Carolyn. They were both wonderful, patient and lots of fun. It was a rainy day, but we still got some great shots and got to see bald eagles and grizzly bears eating salmon out of the river. I would recommend this... More

Cheryl Mullins made our half day in Haines one of the highlights of our two-week Alaska trip. In addition to all the wonderful wildlife she found for us, she really gave us a sense of what it is like to live in Alaska. She described how much the people of her town care for each other -- in good times... More

Cheryl Mullins was a great, dynamic and funny tour leader that was as enthused as we were about Speedie and her cubs (Brown Bears) that we viewed. Lots of bald eagles and trout running...totally worth the very affordable fare. The reservation folks were awesome for us as well, a gang of six walk-ups.
