    Nice village, great skiing
We skied the Alyeska slopes and stayed in the village for 3 nights. Very nice location, many places where we could eat and drink. The slopes are amazing, lot of pistes and lot of space. You look up and you see skiers and you see skiers even further up and beyond. Many slopes are steep but the snow was great. No crowd at all.

Fantastic views, friendly people, worth the time and money
This was fantastic!! We experienced a quick tram ride up in a car filled with skiers who were laughing and talking, eager to hit the slopes again. Our operator was friendly and made it fun. The views were phenomenal! At the top we enjoyed watching the skiers and the food was fantastic. The portions were huge and I gave over half of my delicious fries away to a guy sitting near us and a group of young men. Everyone there from the workers to the skiers were happy and friendly. The views from the top were spectacular. Definitely worth the money to ride for $60 which includes $25 of food of your choice at the top.

    Alyeska Aerial Tram 05/2023
A quick 4.5 minute ride from the bottom to the top - elevation of 2000ft gain. Unfortunately, today mother nature took her toll. The fog rolled in and all we saw was the white background. There are restaurants on top, one is a 4 diamond restaurant with reservations required while the other restaurant is more casual. Would be an amazing place to visit and have a lovely dinner with spectacular views on a clear, sunny day.

    An enjoyable trip and meal
The helpful person suggested we buy 2 regular tickets and 2 tickets with meal vouchers included, which worked perfectly for our family of 4! We had enough money to eat a nice lunch up there. We enjoyed the photos of the early skiers. Everyone told us how great this was, and it did not disappoint!

    Such a cool trip
We took the tram after our afternoon of dogsledding in Girdwood. The fog broke up shortly after we arrived at the top of the DOUBLE BLACK DIAMOND. The views were breathtaking. We hiked up a little higher and was greeted with more amazing views. It was a short tram ride about 5 mins, then your welcome to explore the top of the mountain.

    Mt Alyeska - Big Views!
We hiked up the North Face of Mt Alyeska to the Glacier Bowl which is just above the tram and took the tram down. 2 hour hike is up and 10 min tram down.make sure to know the schedule before you head up as trail is steep. Beautiful views in all directions. Tram has a fee going up and is free coming down.

    See Turnagain from on high!
Incredible views of Turnagain Arm and the surrounding mountains. Quick 6 minute trip up to 2300 feet offers great photo ops and the chance to hike further up the mountain on various hiking trails. Several glaciers visible from the top. There's a bar, restaurant and gift shop that are all worth visiting before heading back down.

Add Girdwood to your "have to" list
Tram ride in August is a high-light. Would recommend afternoon for the possibility of clouds clearing. The roundhouse museum/gift shop is wonderful for learning the history. Restaurant/bar is good, too. This is the best to experience in teeny, tiny Girdwood in summer. I've been told skiing in winter here is amazing.

    Worth the Every Penny!
I was visiting Alaska - Anchorage specifically for the first time, while I was at a conference for work. We had some free time, and I looked up some things to do. The tram came up as a recommended activity, and boy did it not disappoint! The tram is located at the Alyeska resort, which is about a 50 minute drive from Anchorage. We bought the $60 package, that gave you a ride on the tram, and $25 to spend on food up at the top of the mountain. The tram takes you only 2,000 feet up (which is crazy, because it seems like it would be a lot higher!). There are walking trails that you can get there as well. On the way up, you can start to see some breathtaking views of Alaska. We were there in September, so it wasn't snowy, but surrounding us were mountain peaks that were topped with snow. We also ate in the café, and the food was great! Totally recommend as a day trip from Anchorage if you have the time!

We went to Alyeska Tram as part of a guided tour. It was pretty foggy so we didn't have a very good view. There is a restaurant at the top, which is where we ate our lunch. If you visit on your own there is walking path to the top, but we definitely didn't have enough time. It was a nice place to chill out and have lunch, I just wish we could have seen more.

Beautiful ride up the tram. Food & drinks available at the top to enjoy the views all around. You can even hike further up if you like. A view not to be missed. The resort is also something to see & explore.

We actually ride the tram down only/ we hiked up the mountain ! It was a very strenuous hike but worth the views from the top! We explored a bit more at the top, had a cold drink, and then rode the tram down . Spectacular view!!!

Beautiful area but we could not hike down due to avalanche risk. It was also very expensive for such a short trip with nothing to do at the top. There is a restaurant, which is also very expensive so we skipped it. The views are lovely though. So if hiking is allowed I would recommend a tram ride up and hike down.
