Reachable by hiking trail or four-wheel vehicle, Rarotonga's only fall is also known as Papua Waterfall, because water from the Papua stream spills down the cliff into a beautiful swimming hole.

This waterfall is now a trickle compared to 10 years ago and now it costs 5 dollars to go to it as it has reverted back to family ownership. Might be ok in wet season

We've been to Raro a few times but it was a first for our 2 travelling companions so we took them to the "waterfall" It had always been free but not anymore - $5 for a car - so we paid the big bloke sitting...More

We walked over the island and finished at the Wairere waterfall. A sad travesty of a waterfall and pool. All the water is used for the town supply and underneath is a muddy rubbish strewn puddle... don't go unless you know that its rained seriously!

Not worth the $5 entry, you can ask if there is water at the waterfall before you pay, if they say no then don't do it, all you will get is mosquito bites.

We walked 5 km to visit the waterfall to find you have to pay. That's not the problem. We walked halfway up the hill until a kind gentleman in a car stopped and said the waterfall had no water! So we turned around and walked...More

We went up to see the waterfall, big disappointment. Not sure it is a legit road toll or a bunch of enterprising individuals? The tip was not a show stopper however the falls were not worth the side trip. Suggest you spend your limited time...More

We were looking forward to seeing the waterfall at the end of the cross island walk. Don't get you hopes up. It's nothing. Definitely don't pay any money to see it!

When it was free it was disappointing. Now the local village charges to visit it. LOL. Donate the same amount the SPCA further up the same road.

Saw Wigmores Waterfall on the two occasions we completed the cross island walk and again on the Raro Buggy Tour (must do activity). The local land owners have started charging $5 per car load and $2 per scooter or bike to get up to the...More
