Nothing like this view that I saw anywhere else during our honeymoon. It was so cool to see the two bays with the mountain in between and it's a not-to-be-missed part of any stay on Moorea.

Loved t he surrounding area and the view of both bays. We rented a car and went around the island and saw the Marae temples, and many picturesque locations.

As everyone says, the views from this lookout are terrific. You'll find chickens throughout Moorea, but the roosters up here are quite the strutters.

This must be the only viewpoint in Moorea; at least the only one reachable by car, roadster or scooter. The road is bad but the views are great with both bays visible in the distance. Must go/see if you have a vehicle. I believe tours stop there as well

We took our rental car up the mountain rather than going with a tour - and it was fabulous! We created our own pace, stopped at various locations along the way and felt like mountain rally racers in our teeny manual car up those narrow curvy roads :) The views are just amazing! You can see both the bays -... More

One of the stops on the 4 x 4 inland safari. Well worth doing, the views are incredible and the steep ride is not too scary at all.

Sure you can do places like that as a part of an organized trip. But why do a "safari" if a nice asphalt road leads to the outlook from the Cook Bay? If you want to hike from there to see the other side of the island bring good shoes and water but for the outlook itself riding an ATV... More

a great view of much of the island and make sure you go with someone who can give you the historical background of the Tahitian people before Europeans came.

You can go there by car, be prepared a lof of turns on this route! Arrived at the top, you will enjoy a nice view overlooking the bays of the island. You can park easily and even have a short walk/hike after that. Our tip: go there at nigh to see the stars and bring a flashlight.
