As an added bonus, we had ringside seats for the musical acts that were presented at the weekend-long TransitArte 2017 festival. Even without the festival, Parque Morazan and the Templo de... More

In the center of Parque Morazan. A nice park, interesting. People watching is always fun here. Lots of deals and ladies of stature ;-)

The music pavilion is in Morazan park just one block North of Avenida 1 in the center of San José. The pavilion is mainly used by youngsters who dance, play music and perform under the cupola which protects them from the sun. A nice sight. The park named after Morazan is used by many people working or shopping in the... More

It what I would call a meeting place for locals to go and do whatever the locals do. You find music, skateboarding, dance and vendors selling refreshments.

While strolling through San Jose, my friend & I stumbled upon this park. There were some spinners, skateboarders, and a few lone musicians entertaining passersby.

This gorgeous outdoor music/dance pavilion was in a sad, shaggy state. Now it has been beautifully restored to its formal glory with repairs and fresh paint. Well done, San Jose!

The Temple of Music was recently restored (and immediately "vandalized"" by pigeons). It is a beautiful structure in a nice park. Check out the special spot in the middle which amplifies whatever you speak there.

I have never seen some place so beautiful and rich with culture. There are many other things in the area as well that you can check out surrounding this place. Your tour guide will allow you time to explore-go see it!

Covering quite a large space, these gardens have a number of different statues and monuments to see and there's plenty of people watching to be done. The central domed bandstand is the focal point, but there was no activity there when I visited so not sure if it's ever used.
