San José is not a city full of interesting places, BUT as you visit the country and if you like nature and short walks this is a most. It is the oxygen of the city. It’s a small walk thru trees and nature. :)

La Sabana is a good place for exercising, just in the middle of San Jose downtown. It is very safe since there are policemen all around in horses all the time, people go there to run, skate, walk, picnic, play soccer, baseball, play with kites, etc.

A free place for exercising, visiting the art museum, concerts at the national stadium or simply for a picnic.

I loved the diversity of this park. You can find a museum on one side, a skating rink on another, and soccer fields everywhere. Such a nice place and felt very safe.

Located about a 30-45 minute walk down the Central Avenue from the Centro area, it's worthwhile doing the walk to see the changing vista of the shops the further away from the Centro one gets. The park is by no means a beautiful botanic garden,...More
