the central park of San José is not a very special one, but it has a particular gift from the ex-president and dictator of Nicaragua to the City: its kiosk.

But there is a very cool church across the street that is open to the public and worth checking out. There is a dome thing in the middle that you walk up some stairs and walk under.

While not exactly the center of the city, this park is a hub of all sorts of activity. Near many tourist sights, this is a great place for people watching. Musicians, street vendors and people from every walk of life enjoy the nice outdoors.

Unless you have some sort of antroplogical curiosity, this site is a waste of time if you look for a nice city view

I don't know how to describe the horrid piece of junk in the middle of this area...it is just too ugly for words...but it attracts many tourists and is always busy...

Absolutely not worth a visit. We walked past and around it - messy, nothing really worth seeing, and plenty of weird folks around the square.
