Our nature hike and Tree-climbing with Andy was the grand finale of our Costa Rica Trip. We were 15 of us and both kids(teenagers and younger kids) and adults loved it. He was great with the kids and kept them engaged through out the hike. We were so lucky to get him as we did a last minute booking.

Andy takes you on a great little hike to the King Louis Waterfall not far from the beach. Accessible but FEELS challenging. Then up and up to where an enormous tree is perched on the edge of the hillside. Really scary but totally safe. You can't believe you're going higher and higher, and when you get to the top, prepare... More

We (myself, my husband, and our 10 yr old niece) spent five nights at Encanta la Vida, and ended up doing the tree-climb adventure on our last full day. Which turned out to be a fabulous way to cap off a fabulous trip. And perhaps a good thing -- had we done this activity earlier in our stay, I would've... More

We had a great experience with Andy. We did the combo tour with Scrappy, who was a great guide. The climbing of the tree is much more difficult and dangerous that what you may expect. My son had a hard time getting down the tree and badly hurt his leg and shoulder. We all really enjoyed the water repelling. I... More

Hi Frederique. Thank you for the review and for spending your day with Everyday Adventures. Your family was a blast and I particularly enjoyed the ribbing the kids gave your son as, it was his ego that was bruised more than his physical body. The tree climb is challenging to be sure, though the rest of your crew managed it... More

We stayed at Encanta La Vida where Cindy recommended the tree climb tour with Andy. Cindy made the reservation for my family of 4, two daughters 18 and 15, along with my wife and I. We walked the short distance to Andy's house where he showed us around is interesting place. He had snakes, chickens and other animals. His view... More

What an amazing experience. The hike was spectacular. Our guide, Scrappy, was super! We saw spider monkeys, howlers, and iguanas. The tree climb was unlike anything else. Climbing that huge strangler fig, then resting high above the forest floor, was one of the most memorable parts of my trip. The view was out of this world! Not to mention the... More

Wow...what can I say? Andrew is a blast. My family of 5 stayed with Andy for 5 days and 4 nights, and my 3 kids still miss Andy. They also miss his dogs...the monkeys...the hiking...and the surfing! We climbed a strangler fig tree to a height of 68 FEET! While I was swinging from the jump descent, spider monkeys filled... More

Andy was what this tour so special. His enthusiasm is contagious. He first guides you through the rainforest for a hike and then you get to this tree that literally takes your breath away. You are not at all pressured to climb the tree, but I think everyone should. We were within a few feet of monkeys and see these... More

If you are in the Puerto Jimenez area, for us, hanging with Andy was one of our favorite activities. We loved the hike, the tree climb was exhilarating, as was the waterfall repel. If you are yoga inspired, the tree climb can also include many inversion expressions. Two words: Do it!

Great, laid-back staff. We arrived in the morning and after a short hike climbed a 450 year old tree and jumped out!! Followed by an amazing repel down 100 feet of pure costa Rican waterfall. Incredibly down to earth and knowledgeable guides make sure you have a great and safe time. This is one you don't want to miss on... More
