Luis (Fernando Quintero) Gómez, an awesome guide! We did a 2 days/1 night tour in Corcovado with Luis as our guide. This local from Puerto Jimenez didn't impress us at first glance by his small posture, not having a binocular on a tripod, and his lack of sales talk. However, we couldn't be more impressed by Luis! Luis became a... More

Our trip took us 1 hr by boat. We were let off on a beach by the Sirena Station. Form here we ventured into the rainforest for a 2 hr hike. It was all fairly easy walking, only a few muddy spots. The trails are well marked and level. We had a very knowledge guide. He was very good in... More

We live in CR so have had the opportunity to visit many of the National Parks. We were super excited about our trip here and I have to say I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong the wider park is pristine and amazing but,on a day tour you will spend 6-7 hours walking around trails in a tiny... More

Our family (children ages 6 and 9) were lucky to experience both parks - San Pedrillo and Sirena. Both require a guide and require advance booking to ensure you get one of the limited number of park passes. I recommend booking through your hotel as they can confirm departure times and answer questions conveniently. Most tours depart from the main... More

The ground is flat, hence an easy hike. Lots of birds and wild animals to see. Walking even along the beach at times is great. Do go with a good guide and make sure they bring along a digiscope which helps to see animals very upclose. Otherwise, the birds are camouflaged and you can't see them. Digiscope helps to not... We did a two-day trip to Corcovado national park with Keller from Surcostours. Having guide in Corcovado is mandatory and worth every cent as without a guide you are likely to miss 90% of the surrounding wildlife. Keller was very knowledgeable and passionate about and his job and we would highly recommend him to anyone considering a trip to Corcovado.... More

We visited there yesterday and went to the Sirena station (#2). Didn't have to hike very far to see monkeys, coatis (coatimundi ), birds and a juvenile Tapir (something between a hippo and a horse). No dock. The boats (about 3-4), backed up to the beach and we had to jump off. Fortunately it was low tide and the water... More

Within the past 12 months my family of 3 made two separate DAY trips to the Corcovado Sirena Station-both at Christmas time. Many travellers with limited time in the Osa Peninsula wonder whether they should travel to Corcovado National Park from Drake Bay or from Carate/Puerto Jimenez. Since I have been lucky to have done it both ways, my comments... More

This park is full of wildlife! We saw wild pigs, Capuchin monkeys, Spider monkeys, Squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, sloths, toucans, coatis, baby crocodiles and more! The hike is not difficult either, you just walk slowly on flat grounds with your guide. The guides provide lunch at the end of the tour. Must do if you’re in Drake Bay!
