Wonderful waterfalls

A true gem ! Hard to get to (very steep climb) but well worth it ! The challenge of jumping off the rocks into the water adds that little adventure touch ...

This is a modest hike over rocky terrain. The final ascent is not for the faint of heart. For most, stopping at the 2nd pool is a sufficient journey. Would not recommend bringing small kids to top. It can be very dangerous. Flip flops? A terrible choice of footwear for the total climb. Bring lace-ups or strapped shoes. Lovely spot,... More

Very nice place A long long though very tiring and it is fun to go in the water after you were done with a 15 to 20 minute hike. The waterfall is cool itself you can jump off in different areas pretty touristy though almost all of the tourist recommend going though because it is so cool but I would say... Bring your swimsuit and your hiking boots! The trail to get to the first waterfall (pictured) is low-key and scenic. Once you get to the first falls, you can keep hiking up a steep and treacherous bluff to another set of falls and pools that are beautiful and great for swimming. There are stairs that cost about 1000 colones per... More

The hike up is not long but the footing can be challenging at times. I definitely would recommend not wearing flip flops as some people were! We just went up to the first pool. The water was refreshing and it was worth the visit.

Well worth the hike, the falls are just beautiful. Maybe the best day walk in Montezuma. We saw divers doing high dives from the cliffs. The water was cool and clean. Everyone was in a good mood.

The Montezuma Falls are worth visiting if you are in the area, a 20 minute walk from the top of town will get you to the first pool, you can then climb up on man made paths to the second and third. If you want five star beauty I would head to La Fortuna, nonetheless this was a lovely morning... More

The hike is well worth a dip in these pools! Beware the trail tails off at the end so you're either on your own to find the steep way up or to pay 500 colones to use the established trail

Great quick hike with extra hidden fun for the climbers. You can climb to the top of the waterfall where you find more pools of water and an opportunity to jump from a 30 ft cliff!

these lovely falls are just an easy 15 minute walk from the parking area or maybe 30 minute walk from town. It is well worth the small effort to go swimming in the pool below the falls where you can also jump from some rocks.
