Enjoyed a 25 minute walk to Montezuma Falls in early December. Easy to get to and fun to swim at the pool once you arrive. There is no need to pay a guide, just follow the path on that starts on the west side of...More

Pay the guy 1000 colones to watch car, it's a bit of a messy hike with a few but totally doable rope sections. There are 3 waterfalls in all... I am from Oregon so my expectations was bit bigger than I had thought but they...More

Be prepared for a tricky walk to the waterfalls along a rough path with some steep and slippery parts. Once there it's very nice and you can swim in the pool below the falls. It does get busy though and be careful if you want...More

My wife and I are not in the best of shape, but we found the hike down to be rather easy. However the hike up the steps and the terrain to be a little more challenging but it was worth it. Nice beautiful waterfall take...More

I wouldn’t say a must go. Anybody who has seen a couple of waterfalls around the world won’t be really satisfied by the first waterfall. We just went to the first one. Barefoot is pretty nice. And parking was 1000 kolones.

Right at the edge of town, across from Hotel Amor de Mar. The trail starts right off the road. You can walk from town, pay to park in a little lot at the trailhead, or park along the road. There's lots of tourist hustle going...More
