Description:

Join us as we cruise into the open sea, looking for spotted dolphins,...

Join us as we cruise into the open sea, looking for spotted dolphins, migrating humpback whales, sea turtles and manta rays. You will be captivated by the sight of dolphins frolicking in the boat's wake, or the inimitable sound of a whale's song( WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE ANY WILD LIFE SIGHTINGS, WIND FOR SAILING OR CLARITY FOR SWIMMING OR SNORKELING) For the safety and security of our clients we reserve the rights to make decisions in case of bad weather)

As we make our way down the coastline of Manuel Antonio National Park, the mysterious islands, jagged cliffs and unique rock formations will look almost close enough to reach out and touch. These are the nesting grounds and home for numerous species of marine birds, including pelicans, boobies and ibises. While touring the coastline, the captain will hoist the sails, wind permitting, and you will delight in the feel of the catamaran cutting quietly through the blue waters of the Pacific. Our onboard guide will be ready to answer any questions you might have, and will point out sights of interest while giving a brief history of the area. After touring the coastline, we will anchor in a protected cove within the pristine Biesanz Bay for swimming . We provide masks, snorkels and fins with no extra charge.

After you have finished playing in the water, come back on board and enjoy the delicious lunch we have prepared for you: Grilled fish brochettes with onion and green pepper, pasta salad with vegetables, fresh tropical fruits, and natural fruit drinks. As you relax over lunch on our boat in the tranquil bay, surrounded by the lush verdant landscape, having enjoyed all our tour has to offer, you might well feel that you now know the meaning of the word paradise.

The last leg of the tour is the trip back to the Quepos marina. An unforgettable added bonus for anyone who comes on one of our summer season afternoon tours is the chance to witness one of our dramatic tropical sunsets en route to the harbor. The total time of our catamaran tour is 3 1/2 hours, but the memories will last a lifetime.

Planet Dolphin offers three different catamarans for your island adventure. The Tom Cat II, our newest boat, is a roofed and shaded 70-foot sailing cat with a seating capacity of 110. It is available for all types of events-Birthdays, Weddings, Corporate Outings, Bar Mitzvahs, and Memorial Services.

The Tom Cat II: is an exceptionally stable and smooth-riding boat, perfect for the customer that wants a bit of comfort during the tour. And for that ones who like to feel the adrenaline we have a waterslide ``Tsunami''.

The Tom Cat I: is a roomy and comfortable 60-footer with a capacity of up to 40 passengers. The boat is partially roofed, providing a large shaded area with plenty of banquette seating. The bow of the boat features an open air trampoline deck and additional banquette seating with a water slide.

The Spanish Dancer: is a 37-foot MacGregor sport catamaran with a capacity of 12 passengers, perfect for small groups. This boat is a fast and maneuverable craft and recommended for those who like being closer to the elements and truly enjoy the feel of the sun on your face and the sea air in your lungs.

All of our boats have all requisite licenses, inspection certificates and insurance. Our captains and guides are seaworthy professionals and tourism industry veterans who always put the safety, well-being and enjoyment of the customer first.

Absolutely a great experience! The crew and service were #1, very helpful and lots of local knowledge of the area. The dolphins and marine life were abundant and amazing to see first hand. On to a cove where we anchored and everyone got to go snorkeling in a rocky area that was loaded with a myriad of colorful fish. A... More

Our family had a fantastic catamaran tour of Manuel Antonio and its surrounding beaches. The staff was great; they really made sure we were able to enjoy our adventure at the fullest. Even the food and drinks were exceptionally good. We recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to experience the Pura Vida of Manuel Antonio. We saw dolphins!!!!!

This was absolutely the BEST tour we have taken so far in our time in Costa Rica. The staff was excellent, knowledgeable, fun, and kind. The snorkeling was not the best (not their fault), but still very great to see all of the beautiful fish. The dinner provided was honestly the best meal we have had since we have been... More

Planet Dolphin is a large catamaran (Ocean King is larger),with a little bit of age to it, but clean and with a great crew. It's all about the friendliness of the crew and this boat has a great one. I wouldn't hesitate to take kids on board as they too would be well cared for. We were picked up at... More

We loved the catamaran adventure so much! The guides were helpful setting up my children with their snorkeling gear and helped them find lots of fish! The food was outstanding! We had grilled wahoo skewers and fresh fruit. The drinks were great as well. The hosts on the boat made us feel safe, welcome, and comfortable. Jose was our favorite!... More

I come to Quepos every year and I always make sure I get booked to go on a trip with Planet Dolphin. This year was no different. I took my wife and kids with me and we all had a wonderful time. The staff on the boat are very friendly and accommodating. My kids are 7 and 13 and they... More

Great experience all round, on a sleek catamaran cruise from Manuel Antonio. We saw several humpback whales, a school of dolphins, a yellow-bellied sea snake and plenty of exotic birds. The staff and skipper knew when to accelerate and when to cut the engines, in order to maximise the wildlife experience. Then there's the opportunity to swim from the roof... More
