I have been here 3 times now over the years, and love it every time I visit. Very informative volunteers, and always nice to be able to see some of the animals up close, and that are being helped/cared for to be re-habilitated and released back into their natural habitat. The highlight is always any baby sloths or monkeys, they... More

If in Puerto Viejo - go there! The tour is really worth the money and the time, we got so much out of it. Great guides, great initiative and an great experience, and as an extra plus you definitely feel like the money is going to something good, as it is a nonprofit-organisation.

This center is doing a great job at rescuing animals, the tour was very interesting and informative. Our guide Sky was amazing! We loved seeing all the animals! The highlight was probably the baby sloths, so cute. Pretty much everyone who works there is a volunteer. They have a lot of staff and a lot of visitors, but we got... More

Although we did not reserve in advance we were lucky and got a last minute private tour. It seemed a little expensive but I am incredibly glad we chose this option. When we were there we found out that the normal guided tours in the morning had consisted of 17 people per group. In the private tour we got to... More

This is an amazing foundation! The tour was very educational and the volunteers were great with the animals. Your tour money is a donation to keep saving local Costa Rican animals.

We spent a great morning here! This is an amazing opportunity to see so many animals up close but I wasn't expecting to learn so much! The guide was very knowledgable and took her time to explain how these animals are reintroduced to the wild. Although there are some happy and sad stories I came away feeling that this group... This rescue centre is amazing, the tours are very educational describing the history of each animal and their individual needs, and the aims to rewild them whenever possible. Tour groups are kept small, about fourteen people and last between one and a half to two hours. Our guide Rachel was amazing, she was very knowledgable about the needs and plans... More
