I rode the bus from Flamingo to Santa Cruz for a day trip. The round trip fare was about 10,000 colones ... Needless to say I was over charged. However, it was worth the trip. Parque Bernabela Ramos design is spectacular. There's a lot of locals hanging around in the park, and they were friendly.

A wonderful park and soundstage in the heart of Santa Cruz. A great place to rest a while, grab a drink or pipa fria from a local vendor and soak up some tico culture.....pure and simple, tranquil and alive. The perfect surroundings to spend some time and share some words with the locals.....pura vida!
